Salem is a major city in Massachusetts, first settled in 1629. Thew town is probably most famous for the Salem Witch Trials which occurred between 1692 and 1693.
Salem’s primary income is from her status as a port of entry, and much like her diminished sister Kingsport privateers sailed from her port during The War of Independence. Salem is still an major port but is now eclipsed by both Boston and New York and the situation can only get worse. The Witch Trials are still playing a role in Salem today as tourists to the city often wanting to hear more about the Cities gruesome past.
